Know it, do it.

Knowledge is one thing, taking action is entirely another.

It’s not enough to know HOW to do something, you have to actually do it.

I was invited by my doctor for my annual health check this morning. The nurse took me through a questionnaire, asking about my diet, alcohol and fitness habits, all of which I am justifiably proud of.

I’m a vegetarian, wholefood addict who drinks an occasional glass of red wine and works out three times a week, which I’m told puts me in the top 5{87a57dffff3f15402708bd6d4fa6cb73125da737a01ee576ca36cfcfa083af5b} of the population for lowered risk of disease, dementia and premature death.

She also weighed me, measured my waistline and declared my BMI in a healthy range.

I’m guessing the nurse was in her late 20s, and was clearly very knowledgeable on the subject of health and fitness.

And yet…

This young lady had a waistline twice my own, and I’d put her at 250lbs, maybe a size 20.

Knowing is one thing, taking action is entirely another.
